We're hiring Bar Assistants to join the Applewood Hall team

WE’RE HIRING – JUNIOR EVENT ASSISTANT – Up to £11.50 p/hr (age dependent)

With a reputation for delivering stunning weddings, slick corporate dinners and stylish celebrations, a Junior Event Assistant is required to support the continued growth and development of this unique venue, based in the village of Banham.

This is a seasonal zero-hours position with an immediate start until 6th September. Regular hours are likely to be 2 days per week, 10am-2pm on Mondays and 10am-2pm on Wednesdays but will depend on event bookings.

If it is your first job, we will help you gain experience and confidence with full training provided. If it’s additional ‘top up’ work to your existing job or studies, then we can provide flexible working hours in a unique working environment.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assisting with event set-up; arranging tables & chairs, putting linen on tables, folding napkins, tying chair sashes, setting out glassware, completing finishing touches and undertaking any final cleaning tasks
  • Assisting with the clear down following weddings and events which will include vacuuming, mopping, moving tables & chairs, cleaning toilet facilities, sweeping outside areas, polishing glass, cleaning windows, dusting skirting/ windowsills
  • You may be expected to undertake other such duties as may be reasonably requested and that are commensurate with the nature and level of the post

Skills required:

  • No experience necessary as full training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A pro-active, positive and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Friendly, approachable
