We have to insist that you take a look at this styled shoot we created in April because, quite frankly, we're obsessed. 

Not just because it's beautiful (although it definitely is), but because it perfectly captures what we love most about weddings at Applewood Hall; personality, creativity, and couples who aren't afraid to do things their own way. 

If you've spent hours scrolling Pinterest, saving colourful tablescapes, quirky entertainment ideas and wedding inspiration that's a little different from the norm, then this one's for you.

Because whilst the styling may have started with a vision of flowing fabrics, statement florals and an elevated pastel palette, what this shoot really demonstrates is just how much creative freedom couples have when they choose Applewood Hall. 

And trust us - we love nothing more than helping bring those ideas to life, because when couples say, "This might sound crazy, but...", those are often the ideas that create the most unforgettable weddings.

THE VENUE.

Your wedding, your rules.

This styled shoot may have been inspired by fabrics and florals, but the real takeaway is much bigger than that. It's proof that Applewood Hall can become whatever you want it to be.

Some venues come with a very defined style, but at Applewood Hall, we prefer to hand you the blank canvas. 

A colourful celebration full of personality. A romantic countryside wedding. A festival-inspired weekend. An elegant black-tie affair. Or something completely unique to you. With our beautiful garden, versatile ceremony spaces, and a spacious reception hall, the venue can showcase how a cohesive wedding design can flow effortlessly from one part of the day to the next.

Applewood Hall was far more than simply the setting for our styled shoot —it became part of the design itself. Its flexibility, countryside surroundings and bright atmosphere provided the ideal starting point for the concept of this styled shoot and creating a truly inspiring space - and proof that couples can create a wedding day that's jam packed with personality.

Because whilst we love this shoot, what we love even more is seeing couples take the blank canvas concept and turn it into something we've never seen before.

THE FUN MOMENTS

The best weddings don't just look good - they're fun!

As much as we adore beautiful styling, the moments we remember most aren't actually the flowers, linens or colour palettes. 

They're the laughs. The spontaneous dance floor moments. The garden games. The drinks with friends. The memories that happen when everyone is simply having a brilliant time. 

That's why we wanted this shoot to capture more than just pretty details. Because at the heart of every great wedding is a celebration that feels genuinely joyful. 

And if we're being honest, that's the bit we're most passionate about. 

THE FINAL LOOK

Built for big ideas.

We wanted a look that balanced modern and classic styling. The bride's fresh, natural makeup and relaxed updo perfectly complemented the statement headband, while the gown's elegant silhouette, delicate sleeves and button detailing added timeless charm.



For the groom, a green suit was chosen to reflect the colour palette, with handmade lace accents on the tie and pocket square providing a bold yet thoughtful nod to the fabric-inspired theme seen throughout the styling.

The couples cabin at our neighbouring campsite Applewood Countryside Park provides a great space for preparations and a romantic spot before and after the big day!

THE CEREMONY

Proof that colour is making  comeback!

Whilst neutral palettes will always have their place, we're seeing more and more couples embrace colour, personality and playful styling choices. And honestly? We're here for it. 

This shoot took the familiar pastel pink and sage green combination and dialled it up several notches, creating a wedding aesthetic that felt vibrant, confident and full of life

The fabrics transformed both the indoor and outdoor settings, demonstrating how carefully chosen textiles can completely redefine a space while adding depth and personality to the overall design.

A reminder that wedding styling doesn't have to follow trends or rules. If you love bold colours, dramatic florals or quirky details, your wedding day should reflect that. 

THE DETAILS

Often the smallest details bring the entire vision together.

Over the years we've helped couples bring all sorts of creative ideas to life and they've added personal touches that have guests talking long after the last dance.

For this shoot, every element was carefully considered to ensure the colour palette flowed, the textures stood out, and the modern meets vintage was apparent, creating a striking overall look from beginning to end.

Flowing linens and sculptural napkin folds echoed the movement seen throughout the fabric installations, while textured glassware and candles added another layer of depth to the tablescape.

We also wanted to showcase how details can be used to reflect personality - designed to feel intentional. and demonstrating how fashion and venue styling can work together to strengthen an overall wedding vision.

TRAVEL IN STYLE

Silverline Limousines and Wedding Cars often get booked by our couples as they have a great range of transport options, along with having friendly and helpful drivers.

The chosen carriage of the Royal family - and full of character... we had to have the Daimler Limo!

Whether it be going for a drive around the village, campsite, or just having amazing photos on our grounds - we think pairing the countryside backdrop with a stylish vehicle is a must!
